Dr. Art Khachatryan

Dr. Khachatryan began his veterinary education at the Armenian Veterinary College, where he completed his DVM in 2001.  He also attended Clemson University from 1998-1999 as a transfer student, and in 1999, studied Veterinary Acupuncture under the tutelage of Richard Panzer, Peaceable Kingdom Acupuncture Clinic, Seattle, WA.  After receiving his DVM, he continued his education at Washington State University, from 2001-2005, where he received a PhD in Molecular Epidemiology.  After that, he completed a small animal neurology externship at WSU, and most recently, completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at WSU.


Dr. Khachatryan's particular field interests are Surgery, Neurology and Medicine. His hobbies include hiking and backpacking, Aikido, and dancing (especially the Tango). He has two cats named Dao and Zen.  He joined the Sumner Veterinary Hospital Staff in 2008, and is a dedicated and passionate member of our team.
